Horizons Launchpad Fund

I’m thrilled to be one of 29 awarded the Launchpad Fund – a BBC Cymru Wales & Arts Council of Wales partnership. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I applied to work with three programmers/ producers to help develop the scope of my sound and take it to the next level. I’ll be working with:
Garry Hughes, who was programmer on Bjork’s album ‘Debut’, and is composer/ producer of ‘Bombay Dub Orchestra’. Working with Garry is a huge honour, Bjork has long been a significant inspiration of mine.
Cian Ciaran is a music legend in Wales, keyboard player and programmer of the Super Furry Animals as well as a solo artist and producer in his own right. I am particularly interested to work with him on live electronica.
Benjamin Talbot is a multi-instrumentalist, programmer and composer, working for theatre, film and TV as well as with bands. I am keen to work with him on cinematic soundscapes and experimental approaches.

I’m hugely grateful to the BBC and Arts Council of Wales and to all those who have helped me and supported me.

Dwi un o’r 29 o artistiaid fydd yn derbyn Cronfa Lansio Gorwelion DIOLCH!!!!!!!!! X

My Interview on S4C’s ‘Y Lle’ / Fy Nghyfweliad ar S4C ‘Y Lle’

Gwytherin, Conwy Valley, North Wales 02.05.2014 – broadcast on 15.05.2014

It was a wonderful experience to perform and to be be interviewed at this special old church on an ancient site – now a venue/ art gallery. I felt weirdly at home because churches and churchyards were something I grew up with. The team were lovely – Diolch Antena!

Roedd hi’n profiad arbennig i berfformio a gael cyfweliad yn yr hen eglwys yma – bellach yn canolfan celfyddydau / oriel. Roeddwn i’n teimlo’n od oherwydd roedd eglwysi a mynwentydd yn rhywbeth wnes i dyfu i fyny gyda. Roedd y tîm yn hyfryd – Diolch Antena!

BBC Introducing act of the week

WOW utterly thrilled to learn that I’m BBC Introducing act of the week on BBC Radio Wales!!!

I chatted to Bethan Elfyn live on BBC Radio Wales about the EP and our upcoming performances at Hay Festival on Friday 30th May on the Radio Wales stage. She also played ‘La La Low’ so now all four of the songs from the ‘Glas Oren’ EP have been played on Radio. Hugely excited about the Hay Fest gigs too – one of them is going to be broadcast on BBC Radio Wales… Happy days  x
